The History

The Beginning

It seems so crazy now, but 50 years ago, my 14-year-old self cut that Tigereye cabochon on the right on the little "Rock Rascal Model T 6" saw and grinding wheel combo unit that my grandmother had saved her pennies for two years to buy for me as a birthday present (after I'd proven myself with nine years of serious rock and mineral collec

It seems so crazy now, but 50 years ago, my 14-year-old self cut that Tigereye cabochon on the right on the little "Rock Rascal Model T 6" saw and grinding wheel combo unit that my grandmother had saved her pennies for two years to buy for me as a birthday present (after I'd proven myself with nine years of serious rock and mineral collecting). And a decade after that, I would facet that stone to its left, a color-change Borosilicate round brilliant, as my very first faceted stone. What an amazing journey it has been (and continues to be)!
